Profile
I’m Annie, an Art Director and Graphic Designer based in Charleston, South Carolina, with over 20 years of experience building brands that are thoughtful, strategic, and refined. I’ve worked across industries from wellness and nonprofit to textiles and interiors, helping businesses tell their stories through clean, cohesive design. Most recently, I helped launch a textile and home collection for Charleston artist Danielle Cather-Cohen, taking the lead on brand development, product design, and marketing strategy while wearing many hats throughout the process.
Experience
With over 20 years of experience, my career began in Knoll's marketing department and evolved into co-founding Side Designs, a full-service Design Studio based in New York City, serving notable fashion clients like J. Mendel, Marchesa, and Victoria’s Secret PINK.
In order to spend more time with my growing family, I transitioned to freelance work, collaborating with clients across wellness, fashion, nonprofit and interiors. My projects have included everything from full brand identity systems and rebrands to websites, packaging and social media content. I blend creativity with reliability, building long-standing client relationships through thoughtful design, strategic thinking and dependable follow-through.
Currently, I'm working as the Creative Director for Cather-Cohen Art + Home, leading brand development, product design, marketing strategy, and sales.
Skills
My skills include a wide range of design and creative tools, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Lightroom, as well as HTML and web design. I’m experienced with Shopify and Faire for e-commerce and wholesale, and have led everything from brand identity development to packaging, marketing collateral, and trade show booth design. My work also spans textile and surface pattern design, interior design collaboration, and sales outreach, bringing creative vision to life across both digital and physical spaces.
